FAQ
Link sharing is our internal process where we leverage the guest posting campaigns of other clients to help you win backlinks. And we do the same with the opportunities we win through your outreach campaigns.
This makes sense because we often have clients that are in similar industries. If we get a guest post on a health site, for example, it might make sense to link not only to a client running a health clinic, but also to a client with a diet app.
As long as both links make sense in context of the article, there’s no issue with this.
Because we do legitimate outreach, there are too many variables to consider within each new industry to know how many links we’ll actually be able to get. Link sharing is an operationally driven solution that we’ve created to allow us the freedom to run legitimate outreach while protecting the short-term to mid-term marketing investments of all our clients. Think of it like a mutual fund for link building.
Because we built our process with success in mind.
Not success in terms of links-per-hour, but in terms of winning backlinks that actually push rankings for your business.
Here’s the reality – if we lock ourselves into a deal with you where we owe you links for $500 each, but in 3 months we discover that the links that require $1,000 worth of work are the ones that move rankings for you, we want to have the freedom to make a quick decision to go after them.
Keep in mind that you’re not buying the links, you’re buying the time to chase the good ones. We don’t pay for backlinks. Cost-per-link is just a distraction from the real drivers of ROI, which are ranking improvements over time and revenue from search traffic.
If you want cheap backlinks for under $100, you don’t even need an agency. You can do that yourself following the outreach framework that most link building agencies use to buy and resell backlinks to “scale” link building.
It’s important to recognize that backlinks are only part of the picture. We don’t even know how Google really reads them; we only have evidence. It doesn’t make sense to make decisions on a cost-per-unit basis when you can’t determine the value of a unit.
The best way to go after backlinks is to invest in an intelligent chase. That’s what you’re investing in when you buy our link building services, and that’s why we don’t just charge per link.
We have someone in our company who used to work with a lot of our competitors. Here’s what he said about this question:
It depends. Keep in mind that you’re not paying for links, you’re paying for the time our team spends on the chase, which will be reported to you monthly.
That depends on what you mean by “results.”
Does “results” mean we get some opportunities and conversations going? About 3 weeks.
Does “results” mean we’ve landed a few links? 2-3 months.
Looking to see ranking improvements? Well, this depends on how many links your competitors have for a specific keyword or set of keywords, and how many of them Google is even counting toward ranking improvements, which we can’t know.
In fact, Google says that the number of links doesn’t actually matter when attributing links to rankings, and that it’s more about quality placements.
We also can’t know what link building strategies or SEO plans your competitors have in the coming months.
We also don’t know how they’ll react to our effort. They can see it through their SEO tools, after all.
So, again…it depends.🤷🏻♂️
The best we can do is continue to invest in intelligent ways to chase backlinks. That’s how any good link builder would handle link building internally at a business, and that’s how we do it for you.
Every link building agency says they can work in any industry, and many do it just fine. But we do it extremely well by mapping subject matter experts into our process.
For example, when we run a guest posting campaign, we have actual experts write the articles, and we edit them. This way, the editors at big sites actually want to publish the content instead of it just being a way to get a backlink.
This is how you earn guest posts that eventually earn backlinks themselves, increasing the value of the placement.
From an outreach perspective, we write email templates that standardize the pitch but allow the outreach team to creatively personalize the emails in ways that make sense to your audience. The language and terminology that your audience understands is built into the initial template to position our outreach professionals as industry pros.
